Research Interests
I am a Cyprus Specialist and China Specialist. I have a profound interest in tackling new issues, with a strong focus on conflict resolution, regional issues, identity issues, security issues, foreign policy, and international diplomacy, and a heavily vested interest in looking at Cyprus, the Turks and their related studies.

Philosophy: includes the moral foundations of politics and its implications to international society and social, regional and global governance.
Enlightenment: is part of the greater focus of the moral foundations of politics.
International Relations: focuses on the impact of internationalism on society and the global community.
Governance and Politics: explores different types of governance and different models of cooperation.
Institutional Binding: draws on lessons from European Integration and the role of the EU, UN, NATO & OSCE on security dimensions to the Cyprus Issue, which introduces institutional binding as a method to pre-emptively resolve conflict, with minimal external input, but maximum external support, based on European Integration frameworks on preventative war, and including areas such as security that contrary to over-emotional demands of demilitarisation on the island instead require a more comprehensive and robust approach to security, chiefly from the international security organisations in the title, and to a lesser but more influential extent, the 'careful' inclusion of the three guarantor powers.
Conflict resolution: similar to security studies, includes a focus on regional security issues that includes a focus on Cyprus studies.
Foreign policy analysis: and strategic decision making with a focus on Turkish affairs (i.e. Turkish foreign policy, Turkey-EU relations, and the Cyprus conflict), as well as broader foreign policy relations, including United States foreign policy, and international diplomacy.
Global Political Economy: focuses on the impact of globalism/regionalism on society, EU enlargement, and Europeanization.
International Law: specializing in international human rights and democratization, international law, settlement of disputes.
